Collection: From the Kothar
The memories of our Nana-Nani and their Kothar still stay with us — not just as a space, but as a feeling of care, abundance, and home. It reminds us of a time when food was stored with thought, meals were made with what the land offered, and every grain had value.
Kothar is the Jaunsari word for a pantry — a humble storage space where lentils, rice, spices, dry fruits, and everyday essentials were kept for the family. More than just storage, it reflected a way of living that was simple, seasonal, and deeply connected to the land.
At Poit, From the Kothar is our way of bringing that feeling forward — honest staples, traditional pantry essentials, and ingredients that still belong in everyday kitchens.
