Poit is more than a business; it’s our way of preserving and learning. Every dish we serve, and every ingredient we source, carries the weight of tradition. Every bite tells a story of the hills from Maash Ki Khichi (Maushad Bhatt) to Chakrata Red Rice paired with Harsil /Chakrata Rajma.

From Farm to Plate
Our cafe is an extension of our store, selling produce sourced from small farmers across Uttarakhand. Everything on our menu, from the Farmers Bowl to the Kulath Kebab, is made using our store's fresh, local ingredients. Supporting Poit supports small farmers, sustainable agriculture, and the authentic flavours of the hills.

When you walk through the door, the warmth you'll notice immediately radiates from a combination of freshly brewed dark roast coffee, rustic chic interiors, and love poured into the crafting of each corner. That's how, in the passing of more than two years in the slow and deliberative movement, we've made a café that feels like coming home. It's the first thing visitors remark on: "It's a place where time slows down." And we agree.
Starting From Scratch
None of us had any background in hospitality or running a business. We had determination, love for our roots, and a shared vision. Over the past two years, we’ve learned through trial and error, guided by the wisdom of those who supported us.
Every step has been about growth, from sourcing produce to creating a menu that reflects our region. We faced challenges head-on and strengthened our commitment to Poit’s purpose with every hurdle we crossed.

At the heart of Poit lies our dedication to micro farmers. Our shelves are stocked with products like Pahadi rajma, Pahadi Red Rice, Pahadi Urad Dal, Pahadi Walnuts, Pahadi Ghee and more—each sourced directly from the hills. Our cafe menu features the same ingredients, ensuring every dish represents the region’s best flavours.
This harmony between the store and cafe is what makes Poit unique. It’s not just a business—it’s a movement to promote small-scale farming, preserve traditions, and offer people an authentic taste of Jaunsar Bawar.
